A bit of sewing for camp

We registered Sophia for a nature-adventure camp many months ago.  I knew ticks were bound to be an issue, and also heat, so what to dress her in has been on my mind.  In the end, I chose to order some lightweight linen fabric and a pattern from Oliver + S, and get busy making “camp pants.”

It turned out this was a good plan – ticks were an issue, as well as heat, but Soapie stayed comfortable and bite-free throughout her week.  And she enjoyed it so much that it was contagious, and Grace decided she must go to camp as well.  So off she goes, and another pair of camp pants, of course, had to be made!
