:: 25 September ::

This is what early-morning, beginning of autumn looks like around here this year. It is beautiful. The air is crisp, the earth smells clean, and the sun does this beautiful gradual warming act before receding gracefully at dusk. This time of year feeds the soul.

Do you see that girl? She’s the chicken whisperer – or at least, she is one of two chicken whisperers. They both walk around cradling these creatures and fixing up their waterier with vitamins and force-feeding a couple too…because apparently a couple are too skinny, causing worry.

Have you heard of Gladys Taber? I always think of her this time of year. She was an incredibly prolific author who could chatter on about absolutely nothing and at the end, leave the reader completely addicted and satisfied and aching for more!

“We are in for a spell of perfect weather now, every day luminous, every night brimmed with stars. Picnics at noon, supper by the applewood fire at night, a walk in the cool moonlight before bed.” ~ Gladys Taber

See what I mean?? I love that lady!!

Our family is in for some big changes over the next year. The changes have already begun, really. But we are doing our homework and wherever these winds of change end up taking us, this time we intend to land on the ground of somewhere with a strong Waldorf community. And, of course, it goes without saying – where there is Waldorf, there will also be knitters!

So cheers to us and to what the future holds!

    Reading between the lines makes me heartbroken. But of course I only want the best for you and the girls ❤

      Thanks, lady. You will come visit, I’m sure, and I know we will be back down this way to visit too. Your friendship has been too important, too instrumental, for mere miles to get in the way now. ❤
