On the Quinebaug River

We started talking about kayaks a couple months ago. About the potential they hold for family fun, especially with all the camping we like to do. So for Father’s Day, my husband received his kayak first. He’s been having fun with it. I would like Sophia to be the next recipient; she would certainly be old enough to steer a small kayak around on the little lakes and ponds we visit by next summer. Then, in a few more years, Grace will be old enough to join them. And before we know it, Lily will be big and old and strong. (Notice I’m last. I’m not overly into off-land activities. But I’ll join in eventually, because the whole point was for family togetherness.)
