Spring happenings

Spring has sprung in our neck of the woods. We’ve been busy getting seeds into the ground, getting dirty, breathing in that good clean Spring air smell… Love it!

For our Spring Equinox celebrating, I pulled out the bag of roving and let the girls go to town, soaping up wool and shaping it into eggs. I honestly dislike wet felting wool, but the kids love it, so they soaped the wool away in a pan of warm water. Then they went outside and gathered hay to shape into nests, for the nature table. Then we planted rye grass in a basket for Easter. All fun Spring timey stuff.

And I just wanted to show you what a mush our sire ram has become. He has been amusing us to no end with his sudden extreme docility and, even, affection? with the girls. Look at this fella! This is a guy we could barely tap on the back a few months ago unless we had a bucket of grain in hand!

We’re so thankful Spring has arrived!
